“Why don’t you take your son to a good doctor?” The old man smiled and said…“I did and we are just coming from the hospital, my son was blind from birth, he just got his eyes today.”

MEANINGLESS GOALS

A farmer had a dog who used to sit by the roadside waiting for vehicles to come around. As soon as one came he would run down the road, barking and trying to overtake it. One day a neighbor asked the farmer “Do you think your dog is ever going to catch a car?” The farmer replied, “That is not what bothers me. What bothers me is what he would do if he ever caught one.” Many people in life behave like that dog who is pursuing meaningless goals.

Shake off Your Problems

A man’s favorite donkey falls into a deep precipice. He can’t pull it out no matter how hard he tries.

He, therefore, decides to bury it alive.

Soil is poured onto the donkey from above.

The donkey feels the load, shakes it off, and steps on it. More soil is poured.

It shakes it off and steps up. The more the load was poured, the higher it rose.

By noon, the donkey was grazing in green pastures.

After much shaking off (of problems) And stepping up (learning from them), One will graze in GREEN PASTURES.

Looking for Such Boss’s to Work With

I read about a story of a #Founder which really inspired me.. I #wish I could be a #Part of #Such #Teams in near #FUTURE

For 6 months, I paid my entire team through my personal credit card. I was tens of thousands of dollars in debt, but I kept it all as a secret.

My operations manager knew we were struggling financially and asked me why we won’t just let go of some of our designers. She told me ‘you have to take care of yourself first before we can take care of the others.’ In a way, she was right.

I worked long hours just to make sure that our business would stay afloat. It was horrible, but I had no intention of letting anyone go. When I find someone incredible, I invest in them.

If they’re unicorns, why would I want to give them away to another company? Paying them with credit card SUCKED, but it was my way of investing in my team when times were hard. Now, we’re doing better than ever.

We’re having the opposite problem of having too many leads and clients for our team to keep up with and can’t seem to hire fast enough. I have my dream team and I would’ve given all of that up, had I not kept them around.

The point is to invest in your team. They will provide you better ROI than any other investment, without them, there is no company.

A young executive was leaving the office at 6 PM when he found the CEO standing in front of a shredder with a piece of paper in his hand. “Listen,” said the CEO, “this is a very sensitive and important document and my secretary has left.

Can you make this thing work?”

Certainly, Sir” said the young executive.

He turned the machine on, inserted the paper, and pressed the start button.

“Excellent, excellent!” said the CEO as his paper disappeared inside the machine. “I just need one copy.”

MORAL OF THE STORY: Never, never assume that your BOSS knows everything.

A sales rep, an administration clerk, and the manager are walking to lunch when they find an antique oil lamp.

They rub it and a Genie comes out. The Genie says, “I’ll give each of you just one wish” “Me first! Me first!” says the admin. clerk.

“I want to be in the Bahamas, driving a speedboat, without a care in the world.” Poof! She’s gone.

“Me next! Me next!” says the sales rep. “I want to be in Hawaii,relaxing on the beach with my personal masseuse, an endless supply of Pina Coladas and the love of my life.” Poof!

He’s gone. “OK, you’re up,” the Genie says to the manager.

The manager says, “I want those two back in the office after lunch.”

Moral of the story: Always let your boss have the first say.

What Intelligent Employees Hate at Work Place the MOST

This blog is something I can relate a lot too and I share my voice & thoughts always when it comes to this.

HERE I GO :

I believe companies should provide their employees flexibility in lunchtime, breaks, sick days, family leave, further education, etc.

Also, we should stop believing in the concept of micromanagement. It puts undue stress on employees.

I Think companies should train, coach and mentor their employees rather than investing time on micromanagement.

If you hired someone, it means you believe they are capable of doing the job. Then trust them to get the job done.

You don’t need to be constantly monitoring their every movement.

The best ideas and advancements are a result of empowering your team.

Micromanagement suffocates, demoralizes and kills creativity.

Select the right people and give them room to get the job done.
